Woodworking Fundamentals Class
We're holding our first woodworking fundamentals class in our new building!
Please join us at The Challenge Program where students will learn the basics of: understanding wood movement, discerning wood species, milling rough sawn lumber, power and hand tool usage, creating fine joinery, and project design and creation.
Classes will be held at the new Challenge Program workshop, CTEC (Construction Training and Education Center), Wednesday evenings 6:00 -9:00 pm beginning March 6th and ending April 10th. There will also be a Saturday workshop on April 6th. Each student will design and create a simple woodworking project that can be accomplished within the class timeline.
Class will be taught by Greg Cocozza. He has been an instructor at The Challenge Program for two years. He learned the craft through his experience at custom cabinetry and furniture companies in Philadelphia.
The cost of the class will be $185, plus a nominal materials fee. Please bring payment to the first class. Class size will be limited to six attendees and spaces will fill quickly. Please reserve your spot below!
This program is full, but we are happy to place you on our waiting list. We'll let you know of any openings and notify you of future adult classes as soon as they are scheduled!
